In 2018, I was the Operations Director at a Chicago theater when a fierce winter storm hit. The renter canceled their performance for everyone's safety, and I needed to inform the public. When I sat down to update the website, I discovered that our website template didn't have something that would grab a visitor's attention, like a warning banner!
Leaning on only curiosity and a touch of audacity, I felt confident that I could figure it out: I added a custom code block, Googled how to code a warning banner from scratch, and excitedly published my first coded element.
It was a thrilling experience that left me feeling empowered and accomplished.

I designed and built the site in Webflow using custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code and pre-built components. I used the FullCalendar library for event and availability calendars that automatically update using Google Calendar events.
